It was a wonderful Night under the stars at the Westin Charlotte. In support of deserving students, the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association hosts the annual Green Tie Gala. This exciting event raises funds to support student scholarships while also offering an evening of fun for all alumni and friends of UNC Charlotte.
Project Uplift: This scholarship directly benefits graduates from the local West Charlotte High School. WCHS was the African American high school during segregation, but still remains disproportionately minority, with over 90% of its student population living below the poverty line.
